Behavioral Health Treatment

We offer four treatment options for substance abuse and mental health treatment

Our Treatment Options

Serene Behavioral Health offers four levels of care: detox, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. Some clients engage in all levels of care as a comprehensive long term treatment option.  The level of care for each individual depends on their mental health diagnosis, substance abuse history and treatment history, all of which is determined by assessment through our admissions and clinical team.

Residential Program

Our residential mental health and substance abuse program provides clients with a high-level of round the clock care in our Orange County, CA residential facilities. Being removed from everyday life and being taken care of in a serene setting is typically indicated for those who have tried to recover on their own or have tried counseling without improvement.  Being in residence helps our clients focus on their emotional and psychological well-being without outside distractions. While in residential care, clients have access to staff support 24 hours per day and will participate in a multidisciplinary treatment model that utilizes evidence-based practices.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Partial hospitalization is a day time treatment option for those who need a less intensive level of care or are stepping down from our residential program.  Clients attend this program for most of the day and benefit various treatment modalities. At this level, clients still receive care from a multidisciplinary team and receive needed support to address the challenges they face while they live independently.

Our full continuum of care means that each client has flexible options for comprehensive, long-term care

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), provides structure and comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment while the client lives independently. allowing them to live independently. Our IOP sessions meet several times per week and are ideal for those needing more support than they can typically find in a standard weekly counseling session or as a step down level of care from inpatient treatment.

Detoxification

Our medical drug and alcohol detox coordination offers clients seeking substance abuse treatment who require detox, safe and comfortable withdrawal management. Not every client seeking substance abuse treatment requires detox, typically those with a long history of abusing alcohol, opiates or benzodiazepines require detox under medical supervision. The goal of detox is to get clients back to baseline so they can participate in and benefit from therapeutic offerings in residential treatment.
